Blackburn with Darwen is proud to be one of the first of three library services in the UK selected to become part of the Green Library Hubs programme, a groundbreaking, community-led climate action project made possible through £1.2 million in funding from The National Lottery Community Fund’s Climate Action Fund – Our Shared Future.

 

So, what are we planning to do over the next 3 years?

 

·  Activities and events. Planning and delivering environmental themed events and sessions within each library.

 

·  Sharing knowledge. We’re going to put information points in each branch and on social media. We also want to keep you in the loop, so you know what’s going on and can relay that information back to our customers.

 

·  Working with partners. Meeting and collaborating with local organisations and businesses to spread the word about climate action.
